WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington Wizards are inviting all fans to celebrate the cherry blossom season on Friday, March 24, at 7:00 p.m. when the San Antonio Spurs come to Capital One Arena. The first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive a cherry blossom hat designed by Wizards guard Monte Morris.&nbsp;&nbsp;

To honor the night, fans can see the 2022-23 Nike City Edition Cherry Blossom uniforms up close by visiting section 104 on the concourse.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Fans can also visit the new D.C. Sports Cherry Blossom Headquarters pop-up store located near sections 118-119. Items available for sale include the Wizards Cherry Blossom jerseys – featuring Bradley Beal, Kyle Kuzma and Kristaps Porzingis – in all sizes, Nike Cherry Blossom apparel, and many more Wizards Cherry Blossom items from a number of vendors.  In addition, D.C. Sports will be represented with their Cherry Blossom items including the Washington Capitals, Washington Nationals and D.C. United. &nbsp;&nbsp;

Throughout the game, Washington will highlight cherry blossom season with all LED signage and graphics cherry blossom themed. As part of the celebration Japanese pop band, Def Tech will perform at halftime. Fans will also view a video showcasing the design process of Morris’ cherry blossom hat.&nbsp;&nbsp;

To commemorate the Wizards’ 25th anniversary season and to celebrate the team’s 2022-23 cherry blossom campaign, the Wizards in partnership with Coca-Cola Consolidated planted 25 trees, including cherry blossom tress, at Royal Courts Apartments in Southeast D.C. earlier this month. To get into the D.C. sports spirit, fans can also purchase a cherry blossom ticket package in collaboration with D.C. United by visiting https://fevo.me/dcsportsinfullbloom. The cherry blossom ticket package includes tickets to the Wizards’ Cherry Blossom Night game on March 24th and the D.C. United game on March 25.  Those who purchase a ticket through the link will receive a cherry blossom themed bucket hat while supplies last.

Washington, D.C. – Wizards guard Monte Morris underwent an epidural injection today after missing the previous two games with lower back soreness.  He will be listed as week-to-week, with his return to competition determined by his clinical evolution.
