The Toronto Raptors announced their broadcast schedule for the 2024-25 NBA season on Wednesday. TSN and Sportsnet will each carry 41 games.
Sportsnet has the season opener Wednesday, Oct. 23 against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Scotiabank Arena. Additional key contests on Sportsnet include the 10th annual Giants of Africa Game, celebrating the life of Nelson Mandela, on Dec. 5 versus the Oklahoma City Thunder and the lone visit to Toronto by Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors on Jan. 13.
TSN will open its coverage Friday, Oct. 25 when the Philadelphia 76ers travel north of the border. TSN’s slate also includes both early season meetings against the Los Angeles Lakers (Nov. 1 & Nov. 10) and the Nov. 2 game vs. Sacramento, when the Raptors will retire the jersey of Hall of Fame member Vince Carter.
Calling all the action is veteran play-by-play voice Matt Devlin. Jack “The Coach” Armstrong will provide colour commentary with Kayla Grey as the sideline reporter for TSN, while former Raptor Alvin Williams and Savanna Hamilton will do so for Sportsnet, respectively.
Sportsnet 590 The FAN and TSN 1050 Toronto will once again broadcast all games on radio for the Raptors. Longtime broadcast partners Eric Smith and Paul Jones will call games on Sportsnet 590 The FAN, with Smith on play-by-play and Jones as the analyst. On TSN 1050 Toronto, Jones will handle play-by-play duties alongside analyst Jevohn Shepherd.
