Evan Fournier was born on October 29, 1992 in Saint-Maurice, France. He and his wife, Laura, have one son, Elias, who was born in June of 2019. Fournier is active in the community, participating in Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida events, as well as helping assemble 12,500 Hi-Five Kids Packs for the Second Harvest Food Bank in Orlando. Fournier also participates in various Orlando Magic basketball camps and clinics throughout the year, while aiding in the organizations Orlando Magic Youth Foundation (OMYF) events. Fournier played junior basketball at the French INSEP academy and began his pro career in 2009 with JSF Nanterre of the Pro B league in France. He was ultimately able to advance to the top-tier league in France, playing for Poitiers Basket 86 on a two-year-deal. After that, it was time to take his skills overseas. The Saint-Maurice, France native entered the 2012 NBA Draft and was chosen in the first round (20th overall) by the Denver Nuggets.
