Born May 8, 1986 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana… Full name is Garrett Bartholomew Temple… Parents are Collis Temple Jr. and Soundra Johnson Temple… Father was the first African-American to play basketball at LSU (1971-74)… Has two older brothers, Collis III, who also played at LSU from 1999-2003, and Elliott, and one younger sister, Colleen Noelle… Lists his father as his biggest influence… Hobbies include listening to music… Favorite food is gumbo… Participated in basketball and track at University High School in Baton Rouge… Averaged 13.9 points, 7.4 rebounds and 5.5 assists in leading University High School to the Class 2A state championship in 2004… In track, he was a long jump and triple jump specialist.
