Started all 67 contests in his two years in Blacksburg from 2017-2019, averaging 13.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 29.9 minutes per game and shooting .464 from the floor and .383 from deep. As a sophomore, started all 34 contests for the Hokies, averaging 16.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.9 steals in 34.3 minutes per game. Scored in double-figures in 29 out of 34 games, including 12 performances of 20 or more points. Won Charleston Classic MVP after scoring 20-plus points in all three games, as well as being named to the All-Tournament Team and ACC Player of the Week.

Earned First Team honors at MGM Resorts 2019 NBA Summer League after appearing in four games for the Pelicans in Las Vegas, averaging 24.3 points, 6.0 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 2.8 steals.
