Detroit Pistons Recall Stanley Johnson, Henry Ellenson and Michael Gbinije from Grand Rapids Drive

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – The Detroit Pistons announced today that the team has recalled forwards Stanley Johnson and Henry Ellenson and guard Michael Gbinije from the team’s NBA Development League (D-League) affiliate, the Grand Rapids Drive.

Johnson recorded 26 points, five rebounds and four assists in his one-game stint vs. Delaware on December 10. In 21 games this season with the Pistons, he’s averaging 3.3 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 12.8 minutes per game. The eighth overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, Johnson has averaged 7.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 94 career NBA games.

Ellenson has appeared in six games this season averaging 0.8 points and 1.0 rebounds in 3.0 minutes per game. He was selected with the 18th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. Ellenson is averaging 16.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in three games with the Drive.

Gbinije has appeared in six games this season averaging 0.7 points and 0.3 rebounds in 3.5 minutes per game. He was selected with the 49th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. Gbinije is averaging 11.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists in three games with the Drive.
