DETROIT PISTONS ANNOUNCE 2022-23 SCHEDULE

DETROIT – August 17, 2022 – Today, the Detroit Pistons announced the 2022-23 schedule and home game promotional schedule. The Pistons will begin their 2022-23 campaign by hosting the Orlando Magic at Little Caesars Arena on Wednesday, October 19. The Pistons first road slate will begin on Friday, October 21 as the team travels to New York to square off against the Knicks, followed by contests at the Indiana Pacers on October 22and Washington Wizards on October 25.

Home game highlights of the 2022-23 schedule include the defending NBA Champion Golden State Warriors traveling to Little Caesars Arena on October 30, as well as Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics coming to town on November 12. Luka Dončić and the Dallas Mavericks will visit the 313 on December 1, with LeBron James and the L.A. Lakers traveling to Detroit on December 11. The Pistons will host Joel Embiid and the 76ers on January 8, and the Giannis Antetokounmpo-led Milwaukee Bucks on January 23 and March 27. On January 19, the Pistons will travel to Paris to host the Chicago Bulls at Accor Arena. The Pistons final homestand of the season will see them host Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat on April 4, and the Brooklyn Nets on April 5.

The Pistons will be introducing their new “Pick 10” program, a completely customizable ticket package that allows fans to select any 10 or more games, with no exclusions. The Pistons will host “In It For My City” presented by Ally gameday activations for select games – including March 13 against the Indiana Pacers (313 Day) – that lean into spotlighting local performers, highlighting small businesses and celebrating all things Detroit. Additional theme nights include Pride Night presented by Allegiant Air, Women’s Empowerment presented by Ally, Kids Day presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and more. December will see the Pistons celebrate the “Season of Giving”, and Black History Month will be celebrated during each February home game. The Pistons will honor first responders on November 27 during First Responders Night presented by BELFOR Property Restoration and will host their Basketball For All game on December 28 in association with UWM and Strategic Staffing Solutions.

The Pistons will host multiple bobblehead giveaway nights – Saddiq Bey on December 26 (presented by Bally Sports Detroit), Cade Cunningham on January 15, Isaiah Stewart on February 10 (presented by Bally Sports Detroit) and Jaden Ivey on March 11 (presented by Bally Sports Detroit).

The Pistons are scheduled to be on national television four times throughout the regular season – TNT will broadcast the team’s road contest against the Philadelphia 76ers on January 10, while NBA TV will broadcast the December 1 matchup with the Dallas Mavericks, the January 19 game in Paris versus the Chicago Bulls and the home contest against the Milwaukee Bucks on March 27. A complete radio and television broadcast schedule for Pistons games will be released at a later date.
