Traffic and Parking Advisory for NBA All-Star 2017

NEW ORLEANS – In preparation for NBA All-Star 2017, event patrons, Mardi Gras patrons, and the general public should be advised of the following traffic and parking information beginning Thursday, Feb. 16 at 5 p.m. through Monday, Feb. 20 at 7 a.m.

STREET CLOSURES AROUND THE MERCEDES-BENZ SUPERDOME AND SMOOTHIE KING CENTER
The following streets will be closed to public vehicular traffic:
• Sugar Bowl Drive between Clara Street and Lasalle Street
• Dave Dixon Drive
• The I-10 Superdome/Claiborne Avenue exit off U.S. 90 (Pontchartrain Expressway) will be closed and no vehicles will be allowed to exit to Dave Dixon/Stadium Drive. All traffic at the Superdome Exit/Claiborne split will be diverted to the Claiborne overpass toward Tulane Avenue.

TAXI STANDS AND TRANSPORTATION NETWORK COMPANIES FOR NBA ALL-STAR 2017
Beginning Friday, Feb. 17 through Sunday, Feb. 19, a temporary taxi stand will be located lake bound in the 1400 and 1500 blocks of Poydras Street. Transportation Network Companies (Uber, Lyft) will be routed to Perdido Street where they will have access to Tulane Avenue or Loyola Avenue.

TRAVEL & PARKING INFORMATION
All patrons attending NBA All-Star 2017 events are advised to check Mardi Gras parade schedules and routes when planning their travel to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and Smoothie King Center. On-site parking for NBA All-Star events will take place in Mercedes-Benz Superdome Garage 6 at a rate of $20.00 per vehicle (cash only). Please click here to view a map of the location of Garage 6. Patrons walking to NBA All-Star events are advised to check parade crossing locations when planning their routes.
