NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Pelicans issued the following statement earlier today:

The New Orleans Pelicans extend our thoughts and prayers to the students and teachers from Lee High School that were traveling from Baton Rouge to New Orleans this morning and were involved in the bus accident on I-10.  We will continue to closely monitor the situation and our hope is that all of the injuries are not of a serious nature. We wish for those injured a very speedy and peaceful recovery. Our organization will miss their presence at tonight’s game and we will work closely with Lee H.S. to identify a more opportune time for them to enjoy a Pelicans game.
