Pelicans Sign Jordan Hamilton for the Remainder of the 2015-16 Season

NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that the team has signed forward Jordan Hamilton for the remainder of the 2015-16 season. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Originally signed to a 10-day contract by New Orleans on March 25, Hamilton, 6-7, 220, has appeared in five games (three starts) for the Pelicans, averaging 11.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.0 steals in 28.0 minutes per contest. Prior to his time in New Orleans, Hamilton played for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA Development League, averaging 14.9 points on .497 shooting from the floor, 9.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 29.2 minutes per game over 14 contests.
Selected 26th overall by Dallas in the 2011 NBA Draft out of the University of Texas, Hamilton has appeared in 145 career regular season games with Denver, Houston, Los Angeles Clippers and New Orleans, holding averages of 5.7 points and 2.7 rebounds in 13.4 minutes per contest.
