Pelicans Recall Cheick Diallo from Greensboro Swarm

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that the team has recalled rookie forward Cheick Diallo from the Greensboro Swarm of the NBA Development League.

Diallo appeared in six contests for the Swarm, averaging 17.0 points on .495 shooting from the floor, 11.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in 30.8 minutes per game.

Diallo, 6-9, 220, has averaged 13.8 points on .515 shooting from the floor, 7.7 rebounds and 2.1 blocks in 25.3 minutes over 17 games with Greensboro, Long Island and Austin.

Diallo was originally selected by the L.A. Clippers with the 33rd overall pick out of the University of Kansas in the 2016 NBA Draft. Diallo has appeared in nine regular season games for New Orleans, averaging 4.6 points and 3.6 rebounds in 10.4 minutes per contest.
