PELICANS SIGN LANCE THOMAS AND ARINZE ONUAKU

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that they have signed forwards Lance Thomas and Arinze Onuaku. Per club policy, terms of the contract were not released.

Thomas, a 6’8” forward, rejoins the Pelicans after appearing in 101 games (19 starts) over his first two seasons with New Orleans, averaging 3.1 points and 2.4 rebounds in 12.6 minutes per game. In the 2012-13 season, he appeared in 59 contests (nine starts) and averaged 2.5 points and 1.9 rebounds.

Onuaku, a 6’9” forward, has appeared in 43 games over two seasons in the NBA Development League. The Syracuse product played in 38 games (32 starts) in the 2012-13 season for the Canton Charge of the NBA D-League, averaging 12.6 points and 9.5 rebounds in 23.7 minutes per game.
