Pelicans Sign Darius Miller

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Pelicans announced today the team has signed unrestricted free agent forward Darius Miller. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Miller, 6-8, 225, has most recently played for Brose Bamberg of the German Basketball Bundesliga (BBL). In 95 games with Bamberg, Miller has averaged 10.0 points while shooting .545 from the field, including .455 from three-point range, 2.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists, as well as averages of 10.9 points while shooting .408 from three-point range, 2.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists during Euroleague play. Miller racked up numerous awards during his time in Germany, including All-BBL First Team (2017) and Second Team (2016) honors, as well as back-to-back league championships in 2016 and 2017, earning BBL Finals MVP honors after the 2016 title.

Originally drafted by New Orleans with the 46th overall selection in the 2012 NBA Draft after a four-year collegiate career at the University of Kentucky, Miller has previously appeared in 102 games for the Pelicans, averaging 3.1 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.9 assists.
