Pelicans Re-Sign Jimmer Fredette

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that the team has re-signed guard Jimmer Fredette after receiving a hardship exception from the NBA. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Fredette, 6-2, 195, appeared in 50 games for New Orleans last season, averaging 3.6 points and 1.2 assists in 10.2 minutes per game. Fredette was drafted second overall by the Westchester Knicks in the 2016 NBA Development League Draft and becomes the second Gatorade Call-Up of the season from the D-League.

Selected 10th overall by Milwaukee in the 2011 NBA Draft out of Brigham Young, Fredette has appeared in 229 career regular season games with Sacramento, Chicago and New Orleans, averaging 6.1 points, 1.4 assists and 1.0 rebounds in 13.7 minutes per game.
