Pelicans to Participate in NBA Summer League 2017 in Las Vegas

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Pelicans will participate as one of the 24 teams in NBA Summer League 2017 in Las Vegas, it was announced today by the NBA. The event will take place from July 7-17 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

For the fifth consecutive year, the 11-day, 67-game league will feature a tournament-style schedule, culminating in a Championship Game on the final day of competition. Each team will play three preliminary games before tournament seeding, and is guaranteed to play at least five games. Last year’s event set records for total attendance, single-day attendance, combined viewership across ESPN and NBA TV, and NBA social media.

This will be New Orleans’ 12th summer in Las Vegas (’05-’10, ’12-Present). The Pelicans’ Summer League roster and schedule will be announced at later dates.
