Prospect Q&A: Furkan Korkmaz

How has the process been going so far for you?
It’s been really hard for me because in the three days, I’ve had three [workouts]. I came from Turkey to New York, Chicago, and now Denver. The time difference is really hard but it was a really good experience for me to be here with the Nuggets. It was really nice.

What would you like the Nuggets organization or Denver fans to know about you?
If I play for Denver, I will give my 100%. Every day, I’m going to work hard and give my all to the team.

If drafted by the Nuggets, how do you see yourself fitting into the current roster?
I talked to the Assistant GM yesterday and some other people today. They’re really good guys. It was really good because they have a lot of experience if I come here. The life experience will be really nice.

How has the transition from Europe been so far?
It’s harder for me here. The shooting range for me is a little bit tougher than Europe because here is a little bit farther. It’s been harder for me to adapt to that but I think I’ll be okay. I’m ready to jump from Europe to the States. I’m ready to take responsibility for my career.

Do you have any other workouts?
I’ll be flying to Boston today and that will be it.
