Nikola Jokić Voted as Starter for 2024 NBA All-Star Game 

Jokić named NBA All-Star for sixth consecutive season, starter for fourth straight year. 

DENVER, Jan. 25, 2024 – The NBA announced today that Nuggets center Nikola Jokić has been selected as a starter for the 2024 NBA All-Star game on Sunday, Feb. 18 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.  

This is Jokić’s sixth straight All-Star selection and fourth consecutive year being named an All-Star starter. He joins Alex English as the only Nugget players to be selected to start in four All-Star games and is just the second Nuggets player ever to be selected to six or more All-Star games (English - 8). 

Jokić, 28, is averaging 26.2 points, 12.0 rebounds, 9.1 assists, and 1.1 steals while shooting .590 from the field and .362 from three in 33.6 minutes per game this season. The Joker leads the NBA with 13 triple-doubles, becoming the first player in NBA history to have seven consecutive seasons with 10+ triple-doubles, and is on a current streak of three straight games recording 30+ points and 12+ rebounds.  

Among the NBA ranks, Jokić is second in PER (Player Efficiency Rating) at 32.2, second in total assists (401), fourth in assists per game (9.1), fourth in rebounds per game (12.0), sixth in field goals made per game (10.2) and 13th in points per game (26.2).  

The two-time MVP started the season off by winning Western Conference Player of the Month for the months of October and November, averaging 29.0 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 9.2 assists while shooting .571 from the field and .316 from three-point range in 18 games. He recorded seven triple-doubles in the month span, while the rest of the NBA combined for eight total. He also became the first player since Elgin Baylor in 1967 to start a season with 12 straight games of 20+ points and 10+ rebounds. Since January 1st, Jokić is shooting .742 from the field and .611 from three-point range while averaging 25.8 points, 11.1 rebounds and 8.9 assists in 33.4 minutes leading Denver to a 10-3 record in that span.  

The Sombor, Serbia native was selected with the 41st overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. He has appeared in 640 career games (599 starts) over nine seasons with Denver, averaging 20.6 points, 10.6 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 1.20 steals per game.
