Daily Nugget: Gary Harris picks AFC, NFC Championship Games, Super Bowl matchup

After the Nuggets’ exciting 114-104 win against the Los Angeles Clippers Sunday, Gary Harris showed up in the team’s locker room draped in a custom-made Tennessee Titans home jersey. It had his name on the back and No. 4, his high school football number.

Harris proceeded to take questions about Denver’s win when a reporter quizzed the shooting guard on the upcoming slate of NFL action this Sunday. Needless to say, Harris wasn’t impartial when making his prediction about the AFC Championship game.

“Yeah, I’m rocking with the Titans. Kansas City better be ready! We’re trying to make it to Miami,” Harris said.

Harris played receiver and safety in high school and he’s always engaged when discussing the sport or playing Madden. While he was confident in his pick of the Titans to make the Super Bowl and potentially win it, he admitted the NFC championship game could be a close one.

“Packers going to win [in the NFC Championship],” Harris said. “The 49ers defense [is good] but Aaron Rodgers, he got it done [against the Seattle Seahawks]. So, I think he’ll be motivated.”
