Denver Nuggets sign rookie G/F Jordan Hamilton

DENVER, Dec. 9, 2011 – The Denver Nuggets have signed rookie G/F Jordan Hamilton to a contract, team Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Masai Ujiri announced today. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.

Hamilton, the 26th overall selection in the 2011 NBA Draft out of the University of Texas, was acquired by the Nuggets from the Portland Trail Blazers in a three-team (Dallas) draft-night trade on June 23, along with G Andre Miller and a future second-round draft pick, in exchange for G Raymond Felton.

Hamilton, 6-7, 220, averaged 14.5 ppg in addition to 5.7 rpg and 1.8 apg in 70 games in his two seasons at Texas. He was named Third-Team All-America by the Associated Press and earned All-Big 12 honors after posting averages of 18.6 ppg and 7.7 rpg during his sophomore season.
