Fat Lever Hardwood Heroes Night

On April 8 the Denver Nuggets will honor one of their all-time great players, Lafayette “Fat” Lever, with a special Hardwood Heroes celebration.

As the guest of honor, Fat Lever will be in attendance signing autographs for fans from 6:15 - 7:00 p.m. and will be recognized at a ceremony at halftime.

Fat Lever played for the Nuggets 1984-1990 and is ranked 1st on the Nuggets all-time steals list with 1,167 and 2nd on their all-time assists list at 3,566.

Lever appeared in two All-Star games as a Nugget, once as a starter in 1988 and again as a reserve in 1990. He was also named Second Team All-NBA in 1986-87 and to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 1987-88.

He is also Denver’s franchise leader in triple-doubles, registering 46 (three in playoffs) during his tenure. Second on the franchise triple-double leaders list is Dikembe Mutombo with eight.

Fat Lever is one of only three players in NBA history to record 15-plus points, rebounds and assists in a single playoff game (the others being Jason Kidd and Wilt Chamberlain).

In tribute to Fat Lever wearing #12 the Nuggets will offer specially priced $12 upper level tickets available at the Pepsi Center Box Office only.
