  • The uniform’s black base represents the strong will and determination of the city, while also transporting fans back to the no-look circus passes, behind-the-back dribbles, unrivaled ball movement and thunder dunks from the Greatest Show on Court in the early 2000s.
  • The script wordmark has been part of the team’s history through Rochester, Kansas City and the team’s permanent home in Sacramento. The mixtape uniform incorporates the nickname for the city that the team has adopted over the years—Sactown.
  • The waistband features a remixed version of the Rochester Royals logo. Set in purple and black, this familiar logo from the team’s franchise origins now reads “Sactown Kings”.
  • The asymmetrical stripe is an ode to uniforms worn in the early 2000’s era. The design features the “ball lion” logo from the current brand system but set in the 2000’s era color scheme.
  • The logo on the shorts nods to the rising teams taking the court today — and ready to take on the world in the years ahead.
  • And the uniform boasts an anthem that unifies Sacramento’s cowbell-rattling fans who’ve long supported this team — and rallied together to keep them home: Sacramento Proud. It’s written in a font used from a previous Kings logo used from 1994-2016.

These uniforms pay tribute to one of the most exciting teams in the NBA’s past, with a nod to the future.
