David Roddy dropped 21 points to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a 100-69 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA 2K24 Summer League on Friday at Thomas and Mack Center.

The Grizzlies jumped out to a massive start with a 24-9 upper hand through one quarter and kept the momentum rolling to make it a 29-point difference by halftime. The Lakers brought a better effort in the third but could only trim it to a 22-point deficit heading into the final frame. The Grizzlies picked up the pace again in the fourth, charging their way to the 31-point blowout.

The Grizzlies had a total of six players score in double digits, led by Roddy’s 24 on 8-for-11 shooting. Jake LaRavia followed up with 20 points, five rebounds and two blocks, while G.G. Jackson II logged 15 points, five rebounds and three assists off the bench. Vince Williams Jr. turned in a double-double with 11 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block.

On the other side, LJ Figueroa led the Lakers with 15 points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal, in just 13 minutes off the bench. Cole Swider followed up with 14 points, nine rebounds and a steal, while Colin Castleton was the only starter to hit double figures with 11 points and eight rebounds.
