The Detroit Pistons defeated the San Antonio Spurs, 79-73, in the NBA 2K24 Summer League at Thomas and Mack Center on Friday.

There were eight lead changes in this game, with neither team leading by more than 10 points. That was Detroit in the first half, but San Antonio grabbed a game-high eight-point lead midway through the fourth quarter. With that said, the Pistons closed the game on a 22-8 run over the final eight minutes to secure their win. The Pistons shot 10-of-35 from three-point range while holding the Spurs to 4-of-25. Detroit also outscored San Antonio in points off of turnovers, 17-9.

The Spurs (2-2) were led by Dominick Barlow, providing 19 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Sir’Jabari Rice led the bench with 11 points, two rebounds and three steals. Blake Wesley amassed 10 points and eight rebounds, while Javante McCoy provided eight points, three rebounds and four assists.
