The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Houston Rockets 95-92 in the MGM Resorts Summer League at Thomas and Mack Center on Tuesday.

A 25-18 first quarter in favor of Portland allowed them to hold the lead for 37 minutes of this 40-minute game, but Houston was able to prevail. The Rockets actually finished the game on a 12-2 run over the final four minutes, riding a 32-22 fourth quarter to the comeback victory. Portland went just 2-for-10 from the field and committed four turnovers in those final four minutes. Houston recorded 26 assists to nine turnovers while Portland had 18 assists to 15 turnovers.

Armoni Brooks led the Rockets with 30 points, six rebounds and three assists. Josh Christopher collected 20 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals. Justin Anderson led the bench with 19 points, five rebounds, two assists and four blocks. Usman Garuba also had eight points, 10 rebounds, six assists and five steals.

Antonio Blakeney led the Trail Blazers with 23 points and seven rebounds off the bench. Michael Beasley led the starters with 16 points, four rebounds and two assists. CJ Elleby generated 13 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals, while Emmanuel Mudiay tallied 14 points, seven rebounds and eight assists.
