Ayo Dosunmu scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 99-74 win over the Charlotte Hornets in the MGM Resorts Summer League on Monday at Thomas and Mack Center.
After a competitive start, the Bulls outscored the Hornets 16-4 late in the first half to create a 17-point advantage by halftime. They picked up where they left off in the second half and outscored the Hornets 31-22 in the third quarter to make it a 26-point game heading into the final frame. The Bulls charged to the finish, pushing their lead to a game-high 32 points late in the fourth on the way to the confident win.
In addition to Dosunmu, the Bulls had four other players score in double digits, including Tyler Bey, who logged 13 points, 11 rebounds and two steals. Jerome Robinson and Jaylen Adams also chipped in 13 points each, while Marko Simonovic added 10 points.
Kai Jones and Scottie Lewis tallied 16 points each to lead the way for the Hornets. JT Thor added 15 points, nine rebounds and two blocks, while LiAngelo Ball had a tough night, with six points on 3-for-13 shooting.
