Paul Millsap Named to 2016 Eastern Conference All-Star Team

ATLANTA - Paul Millsap has been selected by the Eastern Conference coaches to the All-Star team, and will compete in the 2016 All-Star game on Sunday, Feb. 14 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto. This marks the third consecutive season in which Millsap has been named to the Eastern Conference All-Star team. He joins Joe Johnson, Dominique Wilkins, Lenny Wilkens, Lou Hudson, Bob Pettit and Slater Martin as the only players in franchise history to earn all-star honors in three consecutive seasons with the Hawks.

Millsap leads the Hawks in scoring (18.3 points per game), rebounding (8.9) and steals (1.9) in 46 games played this season. He has also posted averages of 3.5 assists and 1.4 blocks in 32.7 minutes per game, making him the only player in the NBA averaging at least 18.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks.  The 6-foot-8 foward is averaging career bests in each of those statistics.

Since signing with the Hawks on July 10, 2013, the Louisiana native has been named to the all-star team each season and has averages of 17.6 points on .474 shooting, 8.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.1 blocks in 33.0 minutes per game. He has also shot .346 from three-point range over that stretch.
