Atlanta Hawks Acquire Dahntay Jones from Dallas and Jeremy Tyler from Golden State

ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Hawks today acquired guard
Dahntay Jones from the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for guard Anthony Morrow, it
was announced by Hawks President of Basketball Operations/General Manager Danny
Ferry. Additionally, Atlanta acquired Jeremy Tyler and cash considerations from Golden State in exchange
for future draft considerations.

Jones, a tenth-year pro, has played in 50 games (15 starts) for Dallas this
season, averaging 3.5 points and 1.4 rebounds in 12.7 minutes (.357 FG%, .805
FT%). He spent his first four seasons with Memphis, played one year each with
Sacramento and Denver, followed by three in Indiana before the Mavericks
acquired him prior to this season.

In 561 career games (153 starts), Jones has averaged 5.7 points and 1.8 rebounds
in 16.5 minutes (.442 FG%, .338 3FG%, .753 FT%). He’s also participated in 33
playoff games, starting 16, putting up 5.9 points and 1.9 rebounds in 15.3
minutes (.441 FG%, .795 FT%). The Trenton, New Jersey native finished his
collegiate career playing two seasons at Duke after playing his first two years
at Rutgers.

Tyler is in his second NBA season, and has tallied 1.1 points in 3.1 minutes in
20 games this year (.375 FG%, .667 FT%) with Golden State. In 42 games (23
starts), he has averaged 3.7 points and 2.5 rebounds in 10.2 minutes (.416 FG%,
.569 FT%) in his two-year career. He has also played in nine games in the NBA
Development League (with Dakota and Santa Cruz) over the past two seasons,
averaging 15.3 points and 8.0 rebounds in 29.6 minutes (.557 FG%, .741 FT%).

Jones will wear uniform number 30, while Tyler will wear number 1.
