NLE Choppa and Red Panda Halftime Performances, Grizzlies Plaza Parties and Growl Towels highlight promotional activities for Home Games 1 and 2 of First Round Playoff Series between the Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Lakers

Playoff Plaza Party Tomorrow from 4-6 p.m.; Local Broadcasts on Bally Sports Southeast start with Game 2; Watch Parties at Fourth Bluff Park for Games 3 and 4

Memphis, Tenn. – The Memphis Grizzlies announced today the promotional schedule ahead of Games 1 and 2 of the Grizzlies 2023 First Round Playoff series against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Grizzlies will host the Lakers at FedExForum in Game 1 on Sunday, April 16 at 2 p.m. CT and Game 2 on Wednesday, April 19 at 6:30 p.m. CT. The Grizzlies 2023 Playoffs are presented by Orion and your Mid-South Ford Dealers.

Fans in attendance at FedExForum can cheer on the Grizzlies with Growl Towels throughout the playoff run. Grizzlies Growl Towels are presented by Orion and your Mid-South Ford Dealers for Game 1 and FedEx for Game 2. 

In-Game Entertainment

The Grizzlies’ Game 1 matchup against the Lakers, presented by Orion and your Mid-South Ford Dealers, will tip off with a National Anthem performance by The Stax Music Academy’s Street Corner Harmonies. The legendary Red Panda will show off her acrobatic skills with a performance during halftime of Game 1. NLE Choppa in collaboration with Memphis Symphony Orchestra will keep the energy flowing with a performance during halftime of Game 2. Alexis Cole will open Game 2 by performing the National Anthem.

Fans can once again expect performances by the Grizz Girls outfitted by Varsity Spirit, Grannies and Grandpas, Grizzline presented by AutoZone, Blue Bunch presented by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee and the Kings of the Court throughout Games 1 and 2. Fan favorites DJ Mic Tee and Garry Goin and the Memphis Grizzlies House Band will be back for in game music entertainment.

Local Broadcasts

Fans can catch the Grizzlies on Bally Sports Southeast presented by Fan Duel Sportsbook, starting with Game 2 on Wednesday, April 19. First Round games will also be streamed on the Bally Sports app and Bally Sports+. Plus, tune-in 30 minutes prior and stay after each game to catch Grizzlies Live! presented by Ford & you Mid-South Ford Dealers. Every Grizzlies telecast on Bally Sports Southeast will continue to feature play-by-play announcer Pete Pranica, analyst Brevin Knight, in-game reporter, and Grizzlies Live! host Rob Fischer and Grizzlies Live! analyst Chris Vernon

Additionally, all games can be heard on 929 FM ESPN Radio. Eric Hasseltine will continue his run as the radio voice of the Grizzlies throughout the playoffs, and feature Grizzlies analysts, Elliot Perry and Michael Wallace with Grind City Media.  

Playoff Plaza Parties

Grizzlies fans are invited to wrap up Grizz Week with a Plaza Party tomorrow, April 14, from 4-6 p.m. at the Big River Steel Plaza. The party will feature the final playoff swag pick-up, food trucks (Collins Lemonade, The Genre, Frozen Spoon and MemPops), playoff giveaways (sunglasses, koozies and posters), live mural painting by Toonky, live music by Corey Lou & Da Village, games and more. Fans in attendance at the Plaza Party can purchase tickets at the FedExForum Box Office or through Ticketmaster at grizzlies.com/tickets. 

The Grizzlies Playoff Plaza Party will continue prior to games 1 and 2 on Sunday, April 16, and Wednesday April 19, two hours before game time at the Big River Steel Plaza and will feature live music from Corey Lou and Da Village, inflatables, face painters and more. Grizzline will perform on Beale Street pregame before every home game and plaza party.

Watch Parties for Games 3 and 4 

In partnership with the Downtown Memphis Commission and Memphis River Parks Partnership, the Grizzlies will once again host Official Playoff Watch Parties for Games 3 and 4 while the team is on the road against the Lakers. The watch parties will take place on Saturday, April 22, and Monday, April 24 at Fourth Bluff Park, on Front Street, in downtown Memphis. The watch parties will feature special appearances and performances from the Grizz Girls, Claw Crew and more.

Grizzlies Den Extended Hours

Grizz Nation can visit the Grizzlies Den at FedExForum to check out the latest Grizz attire including all-new Playoff gear including hats, hoodies, tees and more. The Grizz Den will also be open on Sundays from 12 - 4 p.m. starting April 23 throughout the Grizzlies Playoff run. New this Playoffs season, a Mobile Grizz Den pop-up shop will open tomorrow, April 14, from 4-6 p.m. at the Big River Steel Plaza and will be open each game day for Playoff Plaza Parties.
