GG Jackson II scored a career-high 44 points, but the Memphis Grizzlies (27-55) fell to the Denver Nuggets (57-25) 126-111 in both teams’ final regular season game. The Nuggets, who swept the season series with Grizzlies (4-0), clinched the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference Playoffs.

Jackson II shot 17-of-36 from the field to record the second-highest scoring total by a teenager in NBA history and added career-high tying 12 rebounds for his second career double-double. Jake LaRavia added29 points, five rebounds and four assists. Scotty Pippen Jr. finished with 15 points and seven assists.

Jamal Murray led the Nuggets with 21 points and six rebounds. Christian Braun posted a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds off the bench.&nbsp; Nikola Jokic registered his 68th double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Aaron Gordon scored 15 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Denver went on a 13-4 run to end the second quarter, including nine unanswered points. The Nuggets led 66-54 at halftime. The Nuggets held the Grizzlies to two points through the first five minutes of the third quarter and led by as many as 26 points in the second half. &nbsp;

The Nuggets shot 51 percent from the field and registered 32 assists. Denver’s bench outscored the Grizzlies’ reserves 52-9.

The Grizzlies set NBA records this season with 33 different players appearing in a game and 51 unqiue starting lineups.

Rui Hachimura tallied 14 points and five rebounds. The Memphis Grizzlies (27-53) fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers (47-33) 110-98 on Wednesday at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in their final road game of the season. The Cavaliers snapped their three-game losing streak while the Grizzlies lost their third straight.

Jake LaRavia scored a career-high 32 points and made a career-best eight 3-pointers on 11 attempts for the Grizzlies. GG Jackson II contributed 22 points. Scotty Pippen Jr. added 18 points and six assists while Lamar Stevens finished with 16 points and six rebounds.&nbsp;

Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers with 29 points and eight assists. Caris LeVert added 18 points off the bench. Jarrett Allen registered his 41st double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Darius Garland added 16 points and nine assists.&nbsp; Evan Mobley posted a double-double with 12 points and a team-high 12 rebounds.

LaRavia scored 21 points in the first half, including 6-of-6 shooting from long range, to help Memphis lead 51-48 at halftime. The Grizzlies led 59-58 early in the third before a 13-2 Cavaliers run steadily built the lead up to 78-65 near the end of the period. Cleveland outscored Memphis 30-16 in the third and led by as many as 20 before the final buzzer.

Memphis, which dressed just eight players, was outscored 29-6 off the bench.

Grizzlies fall to Cavaliers in final road game of the season, 110-98

Victor Wembanyama had 18 points and seven blocks to guide the San Antonio Spurs (20-59) past the Memphis Grizzlies (27-52), 102-87, Tuesday at FedExForum.

Sandro Mamukelashvili recorded his second start and second double-double of the season with 11 points and a career-high 16 rebounds to help San Antonio end a 13-game losing streak in the overall series with Memphis, which had been the Grizzlies’ longest winning streak ever over an individual opponent.

The victory marked the Spurs’ first win over the Grizzlies since the 2020-21 season opener on Dec. 23, 2020 at FedExForum.

Brandon Clarke, Scotty Pippen Jr. and Trey Jemison all scored 14 points to lead Memphis. Jordan Goodwin posted his third career double-double, all since joining the Grizzlies in a midseason trade, with 10 points and a career-best 19 rebounds. The 6-foot-3 Goodwin hauled in the most rebounds by a player at his listed height or shorter since Fat Lever had 22 rebounds for the Denver Nuggets in 1990.

Memphis jumped ahead by as many as 14 points in the first half but led just 49-48 at halftime. San Antonio outscored Memphis 29-12 in the third quarter, holding the Grizzlies to their lowest scoring quarter of the season. The Spurs used a 25-3 run during the third to go ahead 77-61 entering the fourth and led by as many as 20 in the final period.

The Grizzlies used their 50th different starting lineup this season, setting a league record (since starting lineup data was first recorded in 1982-83). Clarke became the team’s 23rd different starter this season.

Memphis will wrap up its final back-to-back set of the season when the Grizzlies play their final road game of the season at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. The Memphis Grizzlies (27-51) fell to the Philadelphia 76ers (43-35) 116-96 Saturday at FedExForum. The 76ers snapped the Grizzlies’ three-game winning streak and extended their winning streak to four games. The Grizzlies and 76ers split the season series 1-1 with the away team winning each game.

Joel Embiid registered a double-double with 30 points and 12 rebounds in 23 minutes to lead the 76ers. Kelly Oubre Jr. tallied 17 points, five rebounds and five assists. Jeff Dowtin Jr. scored 11 points and five rebounds and KJ Martin added 10 points and six rebounds off the bench.

Scotty Pippen Jr. paced the Grizzlies with a career-high with 24 points, five assists and two steals. GG Jackson II scored 17 points and six rebounds. Jordan Goodwin tallied 15 points, four assists and four rebounds. Zavier Simpson contributed a season-high 14 points. Maozinha Pereira notched a double-double with 13 points and a career-high 11 rebounds.

Timmy Allen who signed a 10-day contract with the Grizzlies became the 32nd different player to play for Memphis to play this season, a new single-season NBA record.

The 76ers went on a 10-0 run to close the first half and led 62-42 at halftime. Philadelphia led by as many 27 points in the second half.

The Grizzlies retired Marc Gasol’s No. 33 jersey following the game. Gasol played 11 seasons with the Grizzlies (2008-19) and helped guide the franchise to seven consecutive playoff appearances, including the club’s first postseason victory in 2011 and a trip to the Western Conference Finals in 2013.

Memphis, Tenn. – The Memphis Grizzlies today announced the team signed forward Timmy Allen to a 10-day contract. Per team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed. Allen will wear jersey #0 for the Grizzlies.

Allen (6-6, 210) appeared in 46 games (18 starts) for the Memphis Hustle during the NBA G League Showcase Cup and regular season and averaged 9.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.0 steals in 26.4 minutes.

Unselected in the 2023 NBA Draft, the 24-year-old Arizona native was named to the 2021-22 All-Big 12 Second Team as a senior at Texas.

GRIZZLIES SIGN TIMMY ALLEN TO 10-DAY CONTRACT

The Memphis Grizzlies (27-50) defeated the Detroit Pistons (13-64), 108-90 on Friday night at FedExForum to extend their winning streak to three games. The Grizzlies swept the season series against the Pistons, 3-0.

Seven of the eight available Grizzlies scored in double figures with Trey Jemison and Maozinha Pereira sharing team-high honors with 17 points each. Jemison also grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds to register his first career double-double. Pereira, who set a career high in scoring, also hauled down a career-high nine rebounds off the bench.

Scotty Pippen Jr. had 16 points, seven assists and four steals. GG Jackson II and Lamar Stevens both had 15 points for Memphis, who league-leading 48th starting lineup of the season also became the first Grizzlies starting lineup to all score in double figures since Oct. 27.

Jaden Ivey led the Pistons with 31 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the 3-point line. Jalen Duren notched his 42nd double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Jaylen Nowell scored 12 points off the bench in his debut with the Pistons and became the team’s 31st player to appear in a game this season, which tied this season’s Grizzlies’ single-season NBA record.

Memphis ended the first quarter on a 13-0 run, including seven by Stevens, as part of an 17-2 burst to take a 32-22 lead entering the start of the second period. Memphis held Detroit to 16 points in the second quarter and led 57-38 at halftime.&nbsp;

The Grizzlies led by 27 points with 8:36 remaining in the third quarter, their largest lead of the season.&nbsp;

Memphis outrebounded Detroit 49-38 and outscored Pistons 60-38 in points in the paint and 23-7 in second chance points. The 18-point win marked the Grizzlies’ largest margin of victory this season.

The Grizzlies return to FedExForum on Saturday, April 6 to face the Philadelphia 76ers at 7 p.m. CT in the second night of back-to-back and will retire Marc Gasol’s#33 jersey in a postgame ceremony. The game and jersey retirement ceremony will be broadcast on Bally Sports Southeast, while the game will be carried on 92.9 FM ESPN.

The Memphis Grizzlies (26-50) defeated the Milwaukee Bucks (47-29) 111-101 on Wednesday to finish 2-1 on their three-game road trip. The Grizzlies swept the season series with the Bucks 2-0 this season.&nbsp;

One game after scoring 40 points in fuel a double-digit comeback over Detroit, Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 25 of his 35 points in the second half against Milwaukee. GG Jackson II registered a double-double with 15 points and a career-high 12 rebounds. Brandon Clarke scored 14 points and seven rebounds and Jordan Goodwin notcheda double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds to go with seven assists off the bench for the Grizzlies.&nbsp;

Brook Lopez posted a double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Bucks. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 21 points, seven rebounds and eight assists. Bobby Portis contributed points 19 points and seven rebounds off the bench.&nbsp;

The Grizzlies went on a 9-3 run to end the first quarter and grab a 26-22 advantage. After both teams battled back-and-forth during the second quarter Milwaukee led 46-40 with 3:38 left in the half. The Grizzlies answered by mounting a 13-3 run and grabbing a 53-49 lead at the intermission.&nbsp;

The Bucks led 69-59 with 6:25 left in the third quarter before the Grizzlies scored nine straight points as part of an 18-3 run to grab a 77-72 lead with 1:09 left in the period. Jackson Jr. later scored the final seven points of a 9-0 Memphis run to grab a 98-90 lead with 4:17 left in the game.

Memphis shot 50.5 percent and outscored Milwaukee 76-36 in the paint in what was the team’s fifth straight win in the overall series.
