Lakers win 117-111 in OT to take 3-1 lead over Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies erased a 15-point deficit to take a seven-point lead in the fourth quarter, but LeBron James tied the game with 0.8 seconds left in regulation, and the Los Angeles Lakers won 117-111 in overtime to take a 3-1 lead in the teams’ first round series.

Desmond Bane scored 36 points, including a layup to put Memphis up 104-102 with 6.7 seconds left in regulation, while Ja Morant scored 19 points. Jaren Jackson Jr. double-doubled with 14 points and 14 rebounds to go with five blocks.

James recorded 22 points, a playoff career-high 20 rebounds and seven assists for the Lakers. He scored four points in overtime, including a layup to put Los Angeles ahead by five with 29.1 seconds left in OT. Austin Reaves scored 23 points. Anthony Davis was held to 12 points but tallied four of the Lakers’ four blocks.

Memphis led 97-90 with 5:13 left in the fourth quarter, but D’Angelo Russell made three consecutive 3-pointers to put Los Angeles ahead by two with 3:55 remaining. The Lakers never trailed in OT.
