Grizzlies close four-game road trip with 105-96 win against Heat

The Memphis Grizzlies (17-27) end their season-high tying four-game road trip with a 105-96 win against the Miami Heat (24-20) Wednesday at Kaseya Center. The Grizzlies finish the trip 2-2 and earned a season series split with the Heat.

Vince Williams Jr. posted a career-high 25 points and shot 5-of-6 from 3-point range for the Grizzlies. GG Jackson II chipped in 17 points off the bench. Scotty Pippen Jr. totaled career highs with 15 points, six rebounds and six assists. John Konchar registered his first double-double of the season with a season-best 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Tyler Herro led the Heat with 18 points. Bam Adebayo notched his 23rd double-double of the season with 15 points and 15 rebounds and tallied six assists and six blocks. Jimmy Butler and Duncan Robinson netted 15 points apiece. Terry Rozier played his first game with Miami after being traded and finished with nine points on 3-of-11 shooting.

Williams Jr. and Jackson II led Memphis on an 8-0 run to take a 42-36 lead with 3:25 remaining in the second quarter. The Grizzlies led 49-42 at halftime and never trailed in the second half, extending their lead to 14 to start the fourth quarter. Miami pulled with 98-96 with two minutes remaining, but Memphis closed the game on a 7-0 run.

Memphis shot 47 percent from 3-point range, knocking down 17 shots from long distance, and held Miami to 33 percent from deep.

The Grizzlies return home to face the Orlando Magic on Friday, Jan 26, at 7 p.m. CT at FedExForum. The game will be broadcast on Bally Sports Southeast and 92.9 FM ESPN.
