Vice President, Brand Strategy
Ryan Flaherty has over 25 years of marketing and brand development experience with the Trail Blazers. He currently serves as the Vice President of Brand Strategy and manages the Brand Marketing, Creative Services, Broadcasting, Fan Development, Retail Marketing and Game Operations & Events departments.
His previous roles at the Trail Blazers include two years as Marketing Director, over ten years as Creative Director, two years as Copywriter, Producer & Director and four years in the Corporate Marketing Department as an Account Manager. Major projects include leading team identity re-branding efforts, development of numerous season marketing campaigns, writing, producing and directing hundreds of radio and television commercial productions, development of multiple environmental space build outs within Moda Center, multiple team uniform design and product launches, oversight of the organizations 50th Anniversary season-long celebration and countless marketing promotions and programs throughout his time with the organization.
Flaherty graduated from Oregon State University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. He and his wife and two daughters reside in Northwest Portland.
