Pooh Jeter

Player Development Coach

Pooh Jeter enters his first season as a Player Development coach with the Trail Blazers while also serving as Assistant General Manager for the Rip City Remix. Jeter spent the past two seasons playing with G League Ignite, averaging 7.4 points (44.2% FG, 44.9% 3-PT, 92.9% FT), 1.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 17.3 minutes per game in 28 contests during the 2022-23 season. His playing career also included a stint with the Sacramento Kings in 2010-11 as well as international experience in Spain, Israel, China, France, Turkey and Ukraine.

Gilbert Abraham

Player Development Coach

Gilbert Abraham comes to the Trail Blazers after spending last season as an assistant coach for the Austin Spurs, the G League affiliate of the San Antonio Spurs. He also most recently acted as the Director of Performance for Tandem Sports and Entertainment from 2021-23. In this role, Abraham is tasked with executing, and overseeing developmental plans for each Trail Blazers player. From 2019 to 2022, Abraham was the director of development and head coach at Get Better Academy/Jindrichuv Hradec Lions (KNBL) in the Czech Republic. Abraham is a 2004 graduate of St. Andrews Presbyterian college in Laurinburg, N.C., where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics with a minor in creative writing. He earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in Pembroke, N.C. in 2009. He and his wife, Noelle, have three children: Gabriel, Eden, and Cielo.

Ryan Gomes

Player Development Coach

Ryan Gomes enters his first season with the Trail Blazers as a Player Development Coach. He most recently acted as a Head Coach at overtime Elite during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons and as an assistant coach with the Long Island Nets, the G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets. Originally selected with the 50th overall pick in the second round of the 2005 NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics, Gomes appeared in 482 games with Boston, Minnesota, L.A. Clippers and Oklahoma City, registering career averages of 10.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 27.9 minutes per game. The Waterbury, Conn., native also had brief stints with clubs in Spain and Germany and was most recently with the Los Angeles D-Fenders of the NBA D-League for the second half of the 2015-16 season. Along with helping lead the D-Fenders to the D-League Finals, Gomes was named the 2015-16 NBA Development League Impact Player of the Year and received 2015-16 All-NBA D-League Third Team honors. The former Providence College standout was a two-time All-Big East First Team selection and garnered consensus First Team All-American honors in 2004.
