When the Trail Blazers signed Phil Pressey and Cliff Alexander on July 24th, fans likely saw Alexander as the high-flying rim-rocker and Pressey as the under-the-rim, speedy point guard. And on the surface, that's not untrue.
However, digging into the YouTube archives will reveal that Pressey can get off the ground a little bit, too. The summer before enrolling at the University of Missouri in 2010, then-19-year-old Pressey absolutely posterized future NBA draft pick Tony Mitchell at the TABC All-Star Game in San Antonio. HoopsMixtape.com's clip of the dunk has reached nearly 1 million views on YouTube.
It's safe to say that Phil Pressey's name can be added to the list of under-the-radar Trail Blazers guards with serious bounce.
