NBA.com Previews Trail Blazers 2015-16 Season

As part of NBA.com's "30 Teams, 30 Days" previews of each of the league's 30 franchises leading up to the 2015-16 season's tip off, writer Shaun Powell gives his take on the Trail Blazers' transformative offseason from a veteran-laden team to a squad full of rising talent under the age of 25.

With returnees Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum as the focus of Portland's new roster, Powell writes that this season and beyond will be geared toward the development of the aforementioned backcourt as well as newcomers in Noah Vonleh, Mason Plumlee, Al-Farouq Aminu and Ed Davis:

Powell goes on to point out that the Trail Blazers' success won't be measured in wins and losses in 2015-16, but by the progress shown by the young talent acquired by President of Basketball Operations Neil Olshey this summer:

Training camp opens in Rip City on Tuesday, September 29, six days before the Trail Blazers begin preseason play against the Sacramento Kings on October 5.
