Nick West begins his 13^th season with the Trail Blazers in 2022-23. In his role as Director of Basketball Operations, West directs the daily operations of the basketball department and oversees the administration of the Trail Blazers Practice Facility. West’s duties also include team travel management, agent relations, finance/accounting and preseason scheduling. He worked for the Trail Blazers previously from 1996-2000, serving as the team’s Small College Scouting Coordinator. A native of Seattle, West began working in the NBA as a volunteer for the Seattle Supersonics in the sixth grade in 1987, and later served as a team attendant for the Sonics from 1992-96. Prior to returning to the Trail Blazers for the 2010-11 season, West spent five years working in the recruiting department of Microsoft and spent six years coaching high school basketball in the Seattle area. He obtained his Master’s in Education from Seattle Pacific University in June 2012. Nick and his wife, Stephanie, are the proud parents of daughters Gabrielle and Olivia, and son Noah.
