Trail Blazers Re-Sign Jerami Grant

PORTLAND, Ore. (July 9, 2023) – The Portland Trail Blazers have re-signed forward Jerami Grant, it was announced today by General Manager Joe Cronin. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. 

Originally acquired by Portland on July 6, 2022, Grant, 29, posted 20.5 points (47.5% FG, 40.1% 3-PT, 81.3% FT), 4.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.8 blocks and 35.6 minutes per game in 63 games (63 starts) last season with the Trail Blazers. He recorded seven games with 30-plus points during the 2022-23 season and one game with 40-plus points, when he set a new career-high with 44 on Nov. 25 at New York.  

A nine-year NBA veteran, Grant holds NBA career averages of 12.3 points (45.6% FG, 35.8% 3-PT, 73.7% FT), 4.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.6 steals and 1.1 blocks in 618 games (333 starts) with Portland, Detroit (2020-22), Denver (2019-20), Oklahoma City (2016-19) and Philadelphia (2014-16). He was originally selected by the Philadelphia 76ers with the 39th overall pick of the 2014 NBA Draft. The Portland native is the son of retired NBA player Harvey Grant, who played three seasons for the Trail Blazers from 1993-1996.
