Heavyn Jackson, now in her fifth season with the Trail Blazers in 2023-24, steps into her inaugural season as Player Programs and Team Relations Manager. Originating as a Basketball Operations Assistant in 2019, Jackson has navigated through the team's Basketball Communications department, culminating in her current managerial position. Holding a degree in Communications from the University of San Francisco, Jackson’s professional journey includes valuable stints with the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas over the past seven summers and contributions to Twitter's global marketing team for the 2016 Olympics. In her present capacity, Jackson plays a crucial role in facilitating communications between players and the league office, managing player programs, and orchestrating thoughtfully curated player and family events. She serves as the main contact for player and coach related logistics during home games. Jackson’s unwavering commitment to fostering meaningful connections within the Trail Blazers organization and the wider basketball community reflects her dual passion for the sport and community engagement. Jackson has also served as a dedicated member of the DEI board for three seasons, further contributing to the organization's commitment to inclusivity and equity.
