Durant joined the Nets -- along with Kyrie Irving -- this July, in a move that shook the balance of power, both across the league and also within New York, where the Knicks have long reigned supreme over the basketball landscape.
Irving, who is expected to lead the team until Durant returns from his Achilles' tendon rupture, has already made himself a visible presence at workouts in Brooklyn.

The Nets open training camp next week before they play two preseason games against the Los Angeles Lakers in China as part of the NBA China Games (Oct. 10 and Oct. 12).
