The Wisconsin Herd, the Milwaukee Bucks’ new NBA Development League franchise, is inviting fans to attend a Logo Launch and NBA Draft Viewing Party on Thursday, June 22, at The Bar of Oshkosh. The celebration of the new logo, which will be unveiled at an event for Herd season ticket holders earlier in the day, will start at 5:30 p.m., with the 2017 NBA Draft tipping-off at 6 p.m. The first 100 fans in attendance at the Logo Launch and NBA Draft Viewing Party will receive a commemorative Wisconsin Herd logo 

Bucks mascot Bango, the Milwaukee Bucks Dancers and Hoop Troop will be on hand at the event to join fans in celebrating the new Wisconsin Herd logo and to watch the NBA Draft. The Bucks have the 17th and 48th selections in the draft.

The Wisconsin Herd will begin its inaugural season in the NBA D-League in November. Season tickets are available now for all 24 regular season home games, beginning at just $192. Premium season ticket memberships are also available, giving fans access to exclusive club spaces offering high-end amenities, complimentary food and beverage, and the best VIP experience in the Fox Valley.

MILWAUKEE  (June 8, 2017) – The  Milwaukee Bucks’ new NBA Developmental League franchise set to begin play in  Oshkosh for the 2017-18 season has been named the Wisconsin Herd. The Wisconsin  Herd name reflects the Bucks brand while representing the Bucks as a statewide  organization from the top down. BMO Harris Bank has been named the first major  partner of the Wisconsin Herd. The Herd will begin their inaugural season in  the NBA D-League in November.

“The  Wisconsin Herd is so much more than a team name; it’s a brand that embodies a  group of players fighting to join the Milwaukee Bucks, along with an excited  fan base ready to rally behind Wisconsin’s newest team,” said Wisconsin Herd  President Steve Brandes. “We hope the people of the Fox Valley join the Herd  today with family-affordable season tickets to watch future NBA talent.”

“We  are proud to call our D-League team the Wisconsin Herd, which we believe will  resonate with fans across the state,” said Bucks President Peter Feigin. “The  Herd will become an important brand extension of the Bucks and we’re excited to  watch the emerging talent in the upcoming season.”

The  Herd will debut the team’s official logo at a special event in Oshkosh on June  22. Following the event there will be an NBA Draft watch party, where fans can  not only watch future NBA players get drafted, but also possible D-League  players that could take the Oshkosh Arena court one day. More details on this  event will be announced at a later date.

“The  Wisconsin Herd name has a strong, competitive feel, and it says we’re a team  that’s here to win,” said Oshkosh Mayor Steve Cummings. “It has a nice tie with  the Bucks while being very much a part of this state and its image.”

Wisconsin Herd Selected as Team Name for Bucks' NBA D-League Franchise

The Milwaukee Bucks announced today the promotion of Deb Logan to Vice President of Corporate Partnerships for the franchise’s new NBA D-League affiliate in Oshkosh, Wis. In her new role, Logan will oversee all aspects of the new team’s corporate outreach, including growing the team’s corporate base and managing and activating the team’s partner accounts.

“Deb is a tremendously skilled sports executive with three decades of experience building and managing successful partner relationships,” said Steve Brandes, president of the Bucks’ D-League affiliate. “We’re thrilled to have her leading the charge as we begin to forge meaningful relationships with our new neighbors throughout the Fox River Valley.”

A Wisconsin native and graduate of UW-Whitewater, Logan joined the Bucks organization in 1999 as the team’s manager of corporate sales before being promoted to senior director of partnership sales in 2013. Logan began her career in sports at 620 WTMJ and Journal Broadcasting Group in Milwaukee, where she served as an account executive for 11 years selling on-air inventory for Bucks, Brewers, Packers and Badgers radio broadcasts.

Bucks Promote Deb Logan to Vice President of Corporate Partnerships for New D-League Team in Oshkosh

The Milwaukee Bucks today announced that Steve Brandes has been named president of the newly-formed Bucks D-League team located in Oshkosh, Wis. Brandes will oversee all business aspects and day-to-day operations of the Bucks D-League team, which is slated to begin play for the 2017-18 season.

“Steve shares our vision for what this team can mean on and off the court to Oshkosh and the broader Fox Valley community,” Bucks President Peter Feigin said. “He is an up-and-coming sports executive with a proven track record of success in the NBA D-League, and we’re thrilled to have him join our team.”

“I am very excited to have Steve coming aboard,” added Greg Pierce of Fox Valley Pro Basketball. “We are blessed to have someone with his experience, talent and enthusiasm here to lead the team in Oshkosh. We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership between our arena and Steve and his team.”

Brandes most recently spent the last 14 seasons in the front office of the NBA D-League’s Idaho Stampede (now the Salt Lake City Stars), where he served as president and general manager for the final 10 of those seasons. In 2015, the Utah Jazz purchased the Stampede and retained Brandes as president, where he played a vital role in the successful relocation of the Stampede from Idaho to Salt Lake City in 2016.

“I’m extremely honored to be chosen by the Bucks to spearhead their new enterprise in Oshkosh and I look forward to entrenching myself and my family into the Fox River Valley,” Brandes said. “I can’t wait to meet our fan base and future partners as we build a product that will make this community proud.”

In his 14 seasons with the Stampede, Brandes helped facilitate the team’s NBA affiliations with the Portland Trail Blazers and Utah Jazz, and served as the main liaison with both NBA parent clubs during their respective affiliated seasons with the Stampede. In 2006, Brandes helped move the team from the Continental Basketball Association to the NBA D-League, and was instrumental in transitioning the team to a new arena in 2005. Brandes started with the Stampede in 2002 as an Account Executive and moved his way up the ranks, serving as Director of Sales &amp; Game Operations and Assistant General Manager before being named President and General Manager in 2006.

An Amherst, Ohio native, Brandes was recognized as an Accomplished Under 40 honoree by the Idaho Business Review in June of 2015 for his efforts in the community after he helped run the Idaho Stampede Community Foundation, which was awarded the 2014 Most Outstanding Foundation Award by the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Prior to his time with the Stampede, Brandes worked for TCI/Mainstream Marketing in Portland, Ore., and with ASC Group, a cultural and environmental resource consultant group based in Columbus, Ohio, that specializes in archaeology, architectural history, ecology and environmental series in the Midwest. Brandes is a College of Wooster alumnus where he played on the men’s basketball team and was a part of the Kappa Chi fraternity.
