Wizards waive CJ Miles

Washington, DC – The Washington Wizards announced today that they have waived forward CJ Miles. Miles appeared in 10 games off the bench for the Wizards this season, averaging 6.4 points and 1.2 assists in 16.1 minutes per game before suffering a season-ending wrist injury in the team’s game on Nov. 26 at Denver.

“We appreciate CJ’s contributions to our team this season and wish him and his family the best as he continues his career,” said Wizards General Manager Tommy Sheppard. “He is a consummate professional who provided a great example for our younger players despite having his season cut short by an unfortunate injury.”

Miles was acquired by Washington from Memphis in exchange for center Dwight Howard on July 6, 2019.
