Game Recap: Wizards 92 - Bulls 95

The Wizards fell to the Bulls in their season finale, 95-92. The Wizards and Bulls split the season series 2-2 and the Wizards finished the year at 29-53. The Bulls claimed the Eastern Conference's 5th seed. In the loss, A.J. Price set a new career high with 24 points.

The Wizards were playing drastically undermanned tonight, missing Beal, Webster, Ariza, Okafor and Nene. The Bulls jumped out to a huge early lead, starting the game on a 10-0 run, going up by as many as 21 and closing the quarter up by 16. The Wizards struck back in the second though, using a 16-0 run of their own to eventually cut the Bulls lead to five at the half. The second half was closely fought affair, with the Wizards hanging tough with the Bulls starters. Several times the Bulls would open up big leads but each time the Wizards would claw their way back. The Wizards would tie the game up with three minutes to play but could never get the lead. Wall would eventually miss a three at the buzzer and the Wizards would fall by three.

The Wizards bench outscored the Bulls bench in the contest, 43-23. This was mostly due to A.J. Price who exploded for a career high 24 points on 9/17 shooting. John Wall scored 23, Chris Singleton had 13 and Booker and Seraphin both had 10.

Carlos Boozer led the Bulls with his 44th double-double of the year, scoring 19 points and grabbing 15 boards. Hinrich scored 18 on 7/9 shooting and Mohammed had 17 on 7/12 shooting.
