Game Recap: Wizards 120 - Magic 91

The Wizards third straight win was in blowout fashion as they scored their season high in points and were too much for the Magic all night, winning 120-91.

With two minutes to go in the first half, the Wizards held a comfortable 19 point lead. The Magic ran off 13 consecutive points over the final two minutes to whittle the lead to six and take away all the momentum the Wizards had built up with their dominant first half. But the third quarter saw the Wizards push right back with their highest scoring quarter of the season (37 points) and opened up a 19 point lead again. The fourth quarter was more of the same as the Wizards finished off their most dominant and complete performance of the season to win by 29 points.

The Wizards set all kinds of season highs tonight in the win including points in a game (120), margin of victory (29), points in a half (61), points in a quarter (37), field goal % (56%), and assists (32). The run-and-gun proved to be back with Wall at the helm as the Wizards got out in transition all night leading to 29 fast break points compared to the Magic's 4. Finally the Wizards big men contributed on both ends as the Wizards both outrebounded the Magic and outscored them in the paint.

Six Wizards finished the game in double figures led by Emeka Okafor's dominant performance with 19 points and 11 boards on 8/13 shooting. Price and Seraphin both had 18 points and Beal had 17 on 7/10 shooting. Wall added 12 points and six assists while Vesely had his most complete game of the season with 10 points, 7 boards, 3 assists and he was a game high +29.

During the Magic's win over the Clippers on Saturday night, Afflalo had 30 points but tonight the Wizards held him to just 2 on 1/11 shooting. Jameer Nelson led the Magic with 19 points and 12 assists while Glen Davis returned from injury to the tune of 13 points.

The Wizards look to keep the winning streak going as they head out west for a five game road trip which starts Wednesday in Sacramento.
