PHOENIX — The Phoenix Suns announced today they will host Flamengo on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. to tip-off a seven-game exhibition schedule in preparation for the club’s 47th NBA season.
The Suns’ 2014 preseason schedule features three home games at US Airways Center and four road contests.
The Suns open preseason play on Oct. 8 at home versus Flamengo, the 2013-14 champions of Novo Basquete Brasil, the premier professional league in Brazil. Phoenix next hosts the Denver Nuggets on Friday, Oct. 10, before a trip to Toyota Center to face the Houston Rockets on Monday, Oct. 13. The Suns return home for their third and final preseason game at US Airways Center to take on the defending NBA champion San Antonio Spurs on Thursday, Oct. 16. The Suns close preseason play with three games in four nights on the road, taking on the Los Angeles Lakers at Honda Center in Anaheim on Tuesday, Oct. 21, then visiting the Los Angeles Clippers at STAPLES Center on Wednesday, Oct. 22, before closing the preseason at EnergySolutions Arena against the Utah Jazz on Friday, Oct. 24.
