The Suns (0-2) dropped a second consecutive game to open up their 2024 Playoffs, falling to the Timberwolves (2-0), 105-93, on April 23. Phoenix led by as many as eight in the first half an took a one point, 51-50, lead into halftime before being outscored 28-20 in the third quarter and 27-22 in the fourth. Minnesota used the free throw line and turnovers to their advantage, finishing 26-for-30 from the charity stripe to the Suns’ 15-for-19 mark and turned 20 Phoenix turnovers into 31 points, while Phoenix turned 14 Timberwolves turnovers into just two points on the other end. Devin Booker scored a team-high 20 points for the Suns on 6-of-13 shooting, while adding 5 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Kevin Durant was close behind with 18 points and 6 rebounds, while Bradley Beal finished with 14 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds.
