Suns to Celebrate "KJ Dunk Night"

PHOENIX – The Phoenix Suns will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Suns Ring of Honor member Kevin Johnson’s dunk over Hakeem “The Dream” Olajuwon with “KJ Dunk Night” when the Suns host the Houston Rockets on Sunday, February 23. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m., with doors scheduled to open at 5 p.m.

The special evening will honor Suns legend Kevin Johnson for his historic dunk over Rockets center and NBA Hall of Famer Hakeem Olajuwon, during Game 4 of the 1994 Western Conference Semi-Finals. The celebration will include a halftime Q&A with Johnson emceed by “The Voice of the Suns” Al McCoy, as well as video tributes recognizing one of the NBA’s all-time great dunks.

In addition, every fan in attendance will receive a commemorative “KJ Dunk” placard depicting the famous dunk, with a limited number of lucky fans receiving an autographed version.
