Booker, Chandler Engage in Three-Point Contest

The last day of school often includes some last-minute fun between friends before summer vacation. The same holds true on the final day of the regular season, when individual lives, workout plans and other responsibilities will scatter teammates to the wind before reuniting in August and September.

Tyson Chandler and Devin Booker put in some extra minutes after Wednesday morning's shootaround, but it wasn't for a serious round of drills or one-on-one. Instead, the 33-year-old veteran and 19-year-old rookie engaged in a three-point shootout. Booker, who participated in the NBA Three-Point Contest earlier this season, likely considered himself to be the heavy favorite. Chandler is, after all, a seven-foot center who has attempted 10 total threes in his career -- and made none of them.

The elder half of the unique Suns duo, however, held his own during portions of the friendly contest. Chandler even matched Booker three straight times in the final corner before ultimately admitting defeat.

Even after a year's worth of rookie duties and chores, the league's youngest player kept his satisfaction contained after the victory.

"I don't want to embarrass my vet, man," Booker said. "He tried, though. I liked that from him."
