(Bothell, Wash.) … named the 2013 AP Washington state player of the year as a senior, after averaging 28.5 ppg, 3.4 rpg and 2.5 apg … earned Class 4A All-State honors, in addition to being named the state’s “Mr. Basketball” by the Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association in March 2013 … learned American Sign Language (ASL) in high school ... built a very close relationship with the Metro Deaf School, a charter school that uses ASL and English for students who are primarily deaf, deafblind and hard-of-hearing ... visited the school throughout the 2015-16 season with the Timberwolves, including hosting a holiday party in and donating $10,000 from his Dunk Contest winnings to the school to complete a new kitchen project
