Gets extended run in finale
After being left out of the rotation in the Kings' previous two games, Guy reappeared on Sacramento's second unit with Justin James (ankle) sitting out the season finale. Guy wraps up his second season in the NBA with averages of 2.8 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 7.6 minutes per game while shooting 33 percent from the field and 28 percent from three-point range over his 31 appearances. With his two-way deal is set to expire this summer, Guy is no lock to be retained by Sacramento.

Downplays groin injury
Fortunately for Bagley, the groin issue is mild in comparison to the numerous other injuries that have contributed to derailing his development over his first three seasons in the NBA. Bagley looks like he'll be in store for a normal offseason, but his long-term future in Sacramento appears murky. With career averages of 14.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game across 118 appearances, Bagley has often been a double-double threat when he's been able to play, but he hasn't been an especially efficient shooter (55.3 true shooting percentage) and has offered little in the peripheral categories (1.4 assists, 1.1 blocks, 0.8 three-pointers and 0.7 steals per game). Frontcourt mate Richaun Holmes is set to become a free agent this offseason, and if Sacramento can't retain him, Bagley could shift over from power forward to center, which may be a more natural fit for the 22-year-old's skill set.

Rehab from injury going smoothly
Haliburton's knee injury did little to ruin what was unquestionably a stellar rookie season for the No. 12 overall pick. He emerged as a starter in the backcourt for the Kings before his season came to an end May 2 in Dallas, where he sustained what appeared to be a serious injury. Fortunately, Haliburton's follow-up MRI cleared him of any ligament damage, and he sounds like he could soon be cleared to resume basketball activities following a two-week shutdown period. A healthy Haliburton should remain a cornerstone player for Sacramento heading into the 2021-22 season.
