The Indiana Pacers and Kroger have teamed up to support NBA Fit Week January 18-26, 2017, with events aimed to encourage fans of all ages to lead a healthy, active lifestyle with a goal to be Fit Like a Pro.

The Pacers and Kroger will celebrate NBA Fit Week with the following activations:

The Pacers will tip off NBA Fit Week with an Open House for Pacers Sports & Entertainment staff.  From 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., staff will have the opportunity to participate in a snack break, featuring heart healthy and gluten free options.  In addition, staff can win Fit Like A Pro prizes by participating in our Jr. Pacers Skills Challenge

BOOMER'S SENIOR BOOT CAMP TOUR
Thursday, January 19

Pacers Mascot Boomer will take Boomer's Boot Camp on the road to area senior living centers instructing participants on making proper food choices and teaching proper exercise techniques. Of course, this will all be done to Boomer's cat beats, also known as fun dance music.

10:30 a.m. – Zionsville Meadows, 675 S. Ford Road, Zionsville, IN 46077

The Pacers have teamed up with Playworks to host recess at Lew Wallace School #107 at 3307 Ashway Drive in Indianapolis.  Boomer, along with Pacers Sports & Entertainment and Playworks staff and coaches will be on hand to promote play.

Playworks' vision is that one day every child in America will get to play every day. Playworks changes school culture by leveraging the power of safe, fun, and healthy play at school every day. Their mission is to create a place for every kid on the playground to feel included, be active, and build valuable social and emotional skills. Playworks offers an essential opportunity for children to explore their imaginations, to connect with other kids, and to stretch and grow physically, emotionally, and socially.

Pacers Legend Darnell "Dr. Dunk" Hillman will host a Jr. Pacers Clinic at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.  Jr. Pacers Clinics are open to boys and girls ages 6-14 years of age with a goal of not only providing skill and instruction in the game of basketball, but also discipline, character and sportsmanship.  The Jr. Pacers clinics hope to help develop our youth into skilled players, responsible adults, and of course, avid Pacers fans. A number of former Pacers players from the 1970s will be on hand to help instruct the clinic.

In addition, the Pacers will take the Jr. Pacers Clinic on the road to the YMCA in Anderson, Ind., from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25.

The Pacers will celebrate NBA Fit Week on Monday, January 23 when the Pacers host the New York Knicks at 8:00 p.m. Activities surrounding the game include:
